Double award win for National Education Group at Education Resources Awards

National Education Group (NEG) – leading provider of high-quality professional development for educators – scooped two trophies in the Education Resources Awards on 18 May 2023 at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.

For the second year running, NEG won the Supplier of the Year trophy for The National College professional development platform, and was also the inaugural winner of the Online Safety Award for National Online Safety, which is now available via The National College platform. The Education Resources Awards celebrate outstanding success for the suppliers and teaching professionals of the education sector throughout the UK.

The receipt of the Supplier of the Year Award follows NEG’s redesign and launch of The National College platform, now offering a one-stop destination which supports all staff to strengthen, manage, and evidence their professional development in one place, for one price. The award celebrates suppliers and/or distributors that provide educational establishments with high-quality, safe products appropriate to their everyday teaching and learning needs.

National Online Safety – a leading provider of online safety education, training and resources for school communities – is the first winner of Education Resources Award’s new Online Safety Award. This award highlights the importance of online safety for pupils and staff online, and recognises companies that offer a product or resource that can clearly demonstrate effectiveness in teaching a positive, healthy, and respectful online culture for schools and colleges.

Neil Gamewell, CEO, National Education Group, said: “We’re thrilled to have received two prestigious accolades at this year’s Education Resources Awards, representing yet another independent endorsement of our products and services.”

“We’re proud to help transform the way educators worldwide complete professional development, ensure compliance and drive up standards. This is most notable with the recent launch of our brand-new website and learning management platform, The National College.”

“This game-changing platform brings together The National College and National Online Safety to offer education providers the most comprehensive continuous professional development programme on the market. Which means that education providers can keep up to date and safe with the very latest information and guidance from world-leading experts at their fingertips.”

Organised by Brilliant Marketing Solutions and the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), the Education Resources Awards highlight the quality and diversity of educational products and resources, excellent educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession and supplier industry, all working together to encourage the very best in education. Firmly established, the awards are recognised by the teaching profession as the benchmark of excellence, aiming to encourage the raising of educational services and product standards throughout the industry.

Karin Allfree, Director, Brilliant Marketing Solutions said: “The judges were very impressed with the high-quality, far-reaching and relevant content from the National Education Group, which was regularly updated by experts, together with very relevant training provided post-Covid.”

The judges also commented that National Online Safety Certified School Membership (available via The National College platform), “met so much of the different criteria to support online safety, in one go”. They were impressed with how it provides training for all stakeholders, including parents and carers, and that parental engagement can also be tracked to ensure that online safety support is being provided beyond the school.

“Add to this their excellent testimonials, our judges thought NEG were standout winners.”
