Announcing The National Education Group acquires Governor’s Virtual Office, adding a full governance management suite to its Leadership & Governance module – included with Essentials and Advanced memberships.
National Education Group today announces the launch of Leadership and Governance, bringing governor and trustee management directly into the same platform schools already use for compliance workflows, policy management, and professional development.
Leadership & Governance now incorporates Governance Manager, a comprehensive suite of governance tools. Governance Manager will be included at no extra cost with the Leadership & Governance module, available as part of The National College’s Essentials and Advanced memberships.
For most schools, compliance and governance have meant two separate systems, two separate budgets, and two sets of logins. Governance Manager changes that; bringing governance into the Leadership & Governance module means leaders, governors and the wider school workforce can access up to date information from the same place, ensuring everyone is on the same page and kept informed.
In addition, schools currently paying separately for governance software can save up to £1,000 a year by switching to The National College.
The Governance Manager suite of tools is delivered through The National College’s acquisition of Governors’ Virtual Office (GVO), a cloud-based governance management platform purpose-built for schools and trusts.
The acquisition adds a comprehensive suite of governance tools, allowing schools and trusts to manage board structure, meetings, documents and activity in one place, with a complete audit trail of decisions and governance oversight. For multi-academy trusts, the platform also supports greater consistency and standardisation across multiple boards while maintaining confidentiality with appropriate permissions and industry-leading security protocols.
Governance Manager will be fully integrated into The National College platform by September 2026, available directly within the Leadership & Governance module. Schools and trusts joining or upgrading before 30 June 2026 can access a 50% discount, with onboarding and migration support included.
